generate convenience libraries for new parse-tree and interpfcn subdirectories * src/Makefile.am (liboctinterp_la_SOURCES): Include octave.cc in the list, not $(DIST_SRC). (liboctinterp_la_LIBADD): Include octave-value/liboctave-value.la, parse-tree/libparse-tree.la, interp-core/libinterp-core.la, interpfcn/libinterpfcn.la, and corefcn/libcorefcn.la in the list. * src/interp-core/module.mk (noinst_LTLIBRARIES): Add interp-core/libinterp-core.la to the list. ## @deftypefn {Function File} {} namelengthmax ()
## Return the @sc{matlab} compatible maximum variable name length. Octave is
## capable of storing strings up to @math{2^{31} - 1} in length.
## However for @sc{matlab} compatibility all variable, function,
## and structure field names should be shorter than the length supplied by
## @code{namelengthmax}. In particular variables stored to a @sc{matlab} file
## format will have their names truncated to this length.
