avoid some GCC warnings in the libgui code
* file-editor-interface.h, lexer-octave-gui.cc, main-window.cc,
settings-dialog.cc, workspace-model.cc, workspace-view.cc:
Avoid some shadowed variable, unused switch case, and C-style cast
warnings.
